Tasks inspiring you

  • You develop Python-based applications to support electrical engineering systems, with a particular focus on load flow calculations, grid condition assessment and smart grids

  • You develop and integrate tools for calculating grid loads and analyzing grid status, which contribute to the optimization of energy networks and smart grid infrastructures

  • You model and simulate complex electrotechnical systems, including load flow calculations, to ensure the stability and efficiency of energy systems

  • You automate the calculation processes and develop solutions for real-time monitoring and optimization of smart grids and distribution networks

  • You use Python to process and analyze large amounts of data from the energy networks and convert it into easy-to-understand visualizations to enable informed decisions

  • You implement automated tests to ensure the accuracy and reliability of your calculations and analyses and continuously improve existing solutions

Qualifications that inspire us

  • You have successfully completed a Master's degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification with a focus on energy technology or grid systems

  • You have extensive experience in Python development and are proficient in common Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas for technical calculations and data analysis

  • You have practical experience with load flow calculations, grid condition assessment and analyzing grid scenarios to evaluate the efficiency and stability of power grids

  • You have a deep understanding of smart grids and their specific requirements, especially with regard to the integration of renewable energies and decentralized generation

  • You have experience with mathematical modeling of electrotechnical systems, e.g. using software such as DIgSILENT, MATLAB/Simulink or other relevant tools

  • You can efficiently process and visualize large amounts of data from networks and systems to enable informed decisions

  • You are a real team player who works in interdisciplinary teams and communicates technical content in an understandable and targeted manner

  • You are fluent in German and have a good command of written and spoken English
