The PSI Group develops software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities and industry. As an independent software producer with more than 2,300 employees, PSI has been a technology leader since 1969 for process control systems that ensure sustainable energy supply, production and logistics by combining AI methods with industrially proven optimization methods. The innovative industry products can be operated on-premises or in the cloud.

We are a software company in transition. For the past four months, we have been working in a new, value stream-oriented business unit to develop from a project-driven provider of individual solutions to a product-oriented company. This transformation is challenging - and necessary.
Our business unit GEM - Grid & Energy Management covers the entire spectrum of modern grid and energy processes. While other teams are responsible for grid management, your focus is on the E: energy trading, market communication and billing.
Our key product in this environment is PSImarket - an established solution for energy suppliers and energy traders. It supports our customers in trading and sales processes, risk management and billing. To ensure that this is still the case tomorrow, we want to develop it technologically and functionally for the future - and therefore, we are looking for you.

Tasks inspiring you

As Product Manager for Trading & Billing, you will take responsibility for PSImarket. In close cooperation with experienced product managers, technical experts and our customers, you will form the further development of this product - technically sound, structured and customer-oriented.
You will consistently develop the product in line with regulatory requirements, growing market complexity and technological change. Likewise, you will be part of a team that thinks beyond individual products and works together to take our product landscape to a new level.

What we are currently working on in product management:

• Development of a target vision for our product portfolio - as the basis for focused market development and sustainable success
• Development and anchoring of a common self-conception in product management - within and outside our business unit
• Further development of our products on a new technical platform that meets modern SaaS requirements and makes our solutions future-proof
• Workshops with technical editors and interdisciplinary teams
• Stronger group-wide collaboration with the other three business units of PSI Software SE
• Clear processes, roles and priorities - coordinated functionally and overarching

Qualifications that inspire us

• A structured, entrepreneurial mindset - you are familiar to business cases

• Experience in product management - or a clear desire to develop in this direction

• You don't have to be a developer - but you should be able to understand technical contexts (e.g. data models, interfaces or software tests) in order to talk to development and QA at eye level

• Ideally, you have experience in energy procurement, portfolio or schedule management, risk management or billing systems - or the ambition to quickly familiarize yourself with these topics

• Enjoy collaboration, plain speaking and proactive communication

• Strong communication skills in German and English
