What will you do?
As an MES Consultant, you'll bridge the gap between technology and production. You’ll support our clients in configuring and adapting software solutions to fit real-world manufacturing needs, working with internal development teams and customer stakeholders.
Tasks inspiring you
Your key responsibilities:
- Customize and configure MES software solutions for production environments.
- Analyze technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Support integration with databases and production systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide user training and documentation.
Qualifications that inspire us
- Completed IHK Ausbildung or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related fields
- Solid knowledge of databases and strong programming skills (demonstrated through university, private projects, or student jobs)
- 3–5 years of programming experience, preferably including PL/SQL, Oracle, Java, and Python
- Experience with MES software and practical understanding of production environments
- Comfortable communicating in English (B2) and German (B2)
- Experience in consulting or customer-facing roles is a plus
- Industry knowledge in process industries
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%
- Based in NRW or open to relocation
- Available for at least 32 hours/week, full-time preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly
A plus is always nice
- French language skills, to support clients or teams in Francophone regions.
- A valid driver’s license, helpful for onsite visits in various locations.
- Industry knowledge in steel or aluminum production, enabling you to engage with clients in these sectors with greater insight.
