Purpose of the Role
The Senior Vice President (SVP) Finance & Administration is responsible for the financial management, governance, and administrative organization of the Business Unit (BU). He/she plays a key role in driving the BU’s strategic development, profitability, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and governance standards. A particular focus lies on supporting and leading the implementation of a new ERP system within the Business Unit in close alignment with the Group-wide transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic and Operational Financial Management
- Define and execute the financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning for the BU.
- Financially support strategic initiatives such as new market entries, product launches, M&A, and partnerships.
- Ensure the profitability and sustainable value creation of the BU.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the EVP BU, contributing to growth and efficiency strategies.
2. Controlling, Reporting, and Performance Management
- Lead the BU’s controlling and reporting processes (revenue, costs, EBIT, cash flow).
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly management and group reporting, including performance analysis and recommendations.
- Establish and maintain a performance management framework with KPIs, intuitive dashboards, and benchmarks.
- Continuously improve planning and forecasting processes
- Drive the finance processes requirements within the ERP system implementation (Odoo), ensuring an integrated, future-ready financial system landscape.
3. Governance, Accounting, and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to corporate finance policies, compliance, and internal control standards.
- Collaborate closely with Corporate Finance, Group Accounting, Tax, and Internal Audit.
- Oversee local finance and administration processes in the BU’s international entities.
- Manage financial and operational risks, including liquidity, FX exposure, transfer pricing and investment risk.
4. Administration, Organization, and Process Optimization
- Lead the administrative functions of the BU (Finance, Office Administration).
- Actively steer and support the implementation of the new ERP system Odoo as part of the BU’s digital transformation, ensuring harmonized processes and data consistency across global entities.
- Drive standardization, digitization, and automation of finance and administrative processes.
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with corporate departments.
5. Leadership and People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop international Finance & Administration teams.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture built on accountability and transparency.
- Promote diversity, compliance, and sustainable business practices (ESG).
Qualifications that inspire us
Professional Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience within an international software, IT, or technology company.
- Strong understanding of software business models (Subscription, SaaS, Cloud, Licensing, Maintenance).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and international accounting and tax regulations.
- Proven experience in ERP implementations and in designing digital finance processes.
- Demonstrated success in leading international teams within a matrix organization.
